EverGreen Announces Charity Hockey Game
Bozeman, MT - The Frozen Frontline charity hockey game returns April 3 at 7pm at the Gallatin Fairgrounds. Founded by EverGreen Executive Director Jonathan Stewart, the game pits Bozeman Fire against Bozeman Police, in a friendly competition to raise funds for three local charities.
This year, the featured nonprofits include:
Bozeman Police Foundation
Bozeman Fire Benevolent Fund
Gallatin Ice Scholarship Fund
A newcomer to the game for 2026, the Gallatin Ice Scholarship Fund provides financial support to qualifying families to assist with registration costs for their child to play hockey.
“My medical bills and related debt continue to climb. It has a financial impact on our entire family, and we may not be able to participate in activities or events due to the financial burden my health has placed on us. We have utilized resources from the scholarship fund, and remain grateful to Gallatin Ice and the donors for making hockey a reality for our family, along with many others across the valley,” said Stewart.
The addition of Gallatin Ice means continued growth of the game, and a seamless connection between EverGreen, Gallatin Ice, and the other foundations.
“We founded EverGreen to remove barriers of entry for outdoor adventures and community programs for the chronic illness community and caregivers. I know we’re not alone in the unrelenting stress and impact of medical bills. Ensuring kids can play hockey, regardless of their family’s financial situation, aligns to our mission and we are excited to see the game evolve for years to come,” concluded Stewart.
The game is free for the public to attend, with a suggested donation of $5 at the door. Online donations can be made on the Bozeman Police Foundation website, and all proceeds will be evenly distributed among the featured nonprofits.
