Community Focused: The Round House
The Round House Sports Center in Bozeman, MT recently helped us add a Big Agnes Big House 6 tent to EverGreen’s gear loan program.
EverGreens’ mission includes reducing barriers of entry to outdoor adventures for the chronic illness community. The goal of the program is to provide free loaner gear to patients and caregivers, so they may safely enjoy time in the great outdoors. The program is open to locals and visitors to the Bozeman area; it includes bear spray, food storage, packs, fly fishing gear, and first aide kits.
Gear included in the program has either been donated by outdoor companies or personally acquired by EverGreen volunteer leadership. During a large annual sale, I purchased the tent with personal funds with the intention to donate it back to the program. But, on the tent’s first test outing, there were a few issues that would have prevented it from being added to our program.
I visited the Round House and described my experience with the tent and my intensions for how it would be utilized for our program. I expected nothing in return, yet still wanted to share my experience with their team. Much to my surprise, Round House staff reached out to Big Agnes and shared our story. The company decided to exchange the tent for a brand new version of the Big House, along with a vestibule that will allow users to store additional gear.
Thanks to the proactive measures and excellent customer service of the Round House and willingness of Big Agnes to support our program, the tent is available and ready for adventures. The understanding and commitment of the staff at the Round House was nothing short of miraculous.
The Round House displayed a commitment to the Bozeman community and an unmatched level of customer service. I’m grateful for their support and will remain a customer for life.
